Light Rider…
Wednesday 21 October 2015There’s just nothing better than being able to clearly see what you are doing – a sentiment shared by artist Koo Jeong A who has designed the UK’s first glow-in-the-dark skate park….
Commissioned by Liverpool Biennial and Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson, “Evertro” is a spectacular addition to the Everton Park Action Hub, and it promises to light up life for teenagers for years to come. South Korean artist Koo Jeong A is no stranger to this type of project. She has produced minimalist multimedia installations since the early 1990’s, and in 2012 she designed and built OTRO, a glow-in-the-dark skate park in France.
We wonder what her next bright idea will be…
