A few straight answers.
What makes these different from an ordinary lamp?
Daylight Wavelength Technology™. It matches the wavelengths of natural daylight with 98% colour accuracy, so print stays sharp and colours stay true, however small the type. An ordinary bulb cannot do that, whatever its brightness. The home trial lets you compare the two side by side in your own chair.
Why do they cost more than an ordinary lamp?
Almost none of what you pay for is the shell. It is the daylight spectrum, a flexible arm and dimming that hold exactly where you set them, and a build meant to last, hand-assembled in Buckinghamshire and backed by a five-year warranty. An ordinary lamp is built down to a price; this one is built to be read under for years. The home trial lets you judge whether it is worth it, in your own chair.
Will a floor light reach over my chair?
Yes. Each one stands tall beside an armchair or sofa, with an adjustable arm and head, so the light comes over your shoulder and down onto the page rather than into your eyes. Set it where you want it and it stays there. Every floor light here is also made as a table light if you would rather it sat on a side table.
Why are they so much cheaper right now?
Summer is the quiet season for reading lights, so we run our strongest prices of the year to keep the workshop busy. These are the current lights, brand new and boxed, not seconds or old stock. We happen to hold more White than Black, so White carries the biggest saving. Once a finish sells out it will not be restocked.
Do the home trial and warranty still apply?
Yes, in full. You get 90 days at home with the Original and Pro, 30 days with the Essential, and the standard warranty on every light. A clearance light gets exactly the same service as one at full price.
How long does delivery take?
UK delivery takes five to seven working days, by tracked courier, and it is free on the lights in this clearance.
How long does the clearance last?
Until the stock runs out. The prices hold until 30th September 2026 at the latest, and the most popular finishes will go well before that.
