A Serious Light head lighting a chart that compares the colour fidelity of Daylight Wavelength Technology™ with ordinary LEDs

A score on a stand is further away than a book, so good light matters more.

Music is propped up at arm's length, often in a room lit for playing rather than for reading, so the light has to reach it at an angle.

Daylight Wavelength Technology™ reproduces daylight with 98% accuracy, so notes, ties and markings look crisp and black.

See what better light does for you

Turn the pages of your score without moving the light.

Stand the light beside your stand or piano and bring the head over the top, so the score is lit and the light stays out of your eyes.

The arm holds its angle, so the light is exactly where you left it at your next practice.

My High Definition light has proved invaluable when playing music, where I need to see sheet music very clearly.

Our five-year warranty covers every practice and every performance.

The specialist components in a single HD Original cost more to manufacture than many entire lamps sell for. That is where the price goes.

The HD Original and the HD Essential are hand-built in Aylesbury, and all three come with a five-year warranty and our team’s help with advice and repairs. Each one is made as a reliable tool for people who want the best light they can have.

What musicians ask about Serious Lights.

Will it reach a music stand?

Yes. All three floor lights stand up to 152cm, and the flexible arm reaches out over a stand so the light comes down onto the score rather than across it.

Will it cover a double page of music?

On the HD Original and the HD Pro, turn the ring on the head and the beam opens out to 61cm, which covers an open score. The HD Essential has one fixed wide beam.

Compare the beams
Can I use it on a piano?

Yes. A floor light stands beside the piano and reaches over the music rest, and a table light can sit on top of an upright.

Why does a Serious Light cost more than an ordinary lamp?

Because of what is inside it. The specialist components in a single HD Original cost more to make than many complete lamps sell for, and all three lights come with a five-year warranty.

What if it is not right for me?

Try it at home first. The HD Original and the HD Pro have a 90-day home trial and the HD Essential has 30 days, and if it is not right for you we collect it free from any UK mainland address.
