The light that started it all. The Classic Light is designed to be less intense than our other ranges, with a deliberately narrow beam pattern focusing directly onto your book rather than around the room.

If you have no eye conditions, are reading books only and looking for a light with a focused beam, the Classic light could be ideal.

If you are considering reading larger publications as well, you may prefer our Alex Light which has a much wider beam pattern.
4x More Light on your Page

By comparison with a traditional 60W filament bulb, the Classic Table Light throws 4x more light onto your page.

This helps to correct the typical loss of light reaching the retina of two thirds by the time we reach 60 years old.

Ergonomic Operation

You're In Control

All controls can be found on the head of the Classic Light. To turn your light on or off, simply press the switch situated on the back of the light head.

To operate the optional dimmer (+£30), which is built in to the on/off switch, hold the switch down and the light will begin to cycle through brightness levels. Release the switch when the light output is at your desired level of brightness.

The brass base metal is double sprayed and double-baked to produce a durable matte black coating for the fully flexible stay-put arm.

A 15-20 micron brushed nickel coating on the brass base metal gives a sharp hi-tech brushed finish.

The 20-30 micron of zapon-treated brass on brass provides a long-lasting classic look when paired with the real wood mahogany effect handle.

Body Finish (lightweight only)

On lightweight table lights, choose between black and heritage white body finishes.

Black

The sleek black body finish is our most popular option, chosen for its minimalist industrial chic aesthetic. Choose from black, nickel or brass flexible arms with this body finish.

Heritage White

The stunning heritage white body finish is an elegant choice, boasting a delicate off-white hue which blends in perfectly with neutral surroundings. Available with nickel flexible arm only.

Option 4

Gemini (heavyweight only)

Our unique two-headed design can be applied as an optional extra (£100) to each Heavyweight Serious Light. Integrating our Daylight Wavelength Technology™ and with individually operated heads, the Gemini feature is a perfect solution for multiple users.

Please Note: The Gemini is not available as cordless. Classic Gemini Lights are non-dimmable.

Option 5

Dimmer Function

The dimming function allows for your light to be finely adjusted to your specific needs. Turn down the light intensity when a softer light is required, then with one finger adjust it back up to full brightness when you need more light to get clarity.

Classic Table Lights have a dimmable option available.
Simply hold down the on/off switch and release when the light output has reached your desired intensity.

Option 6

Cordless (heavyweight only)

With the cordless option (+£100), you can have all the light quality and easy-adjustment features of the Classic Light, with the convenience of being able to take your light wherever you need it.

The battery lasts for 5 hours at full brightness and 8 hours in total before requiring recharging. The replaceable battery lasts for 500 charge cycles.
