Why 90 days?

What the HD Pro adds
The light on the page is identical to the Original. What changes is the body. Our newest design takes a rechargeable battery, a remote handset, and any future accessories we develop. Buy the light once, add to it later.

Remote Handset (optional): Add a remote and adjust brightness without leaving your seat.
USB Charging (HD Pro Table only): The table model has a built-in USB port to charge your phone while you read. Floor model is not fitted with this.
Modular Design: The Pro is designed to accept new accessories and upgrades as they are developed. Buy the light now and add to it later, rather than replacing it.

Entry-level lights
The HD Mini and HD ROAM are our most affordable lights. Compact, portable, cordless. They use the same Daylight Wavelength Technology™ as the rest of the range, with less brightness and a 1-year warranty.

I just want the best light. Which one should I get?
The HD Original. It uses the same light engine as the Pro, with an adjustable beam, a dimmer with memory, and a snooze timer. Unless you need cordless or a remote, the Original gives you the same light for less. 80% of Serious Light owners choose it.
What does the Pro give me that the Original does not?
The light on the page is identical to the Original, and so are the adjustable beam, the stepless dimmer, and the snooze timer. What the HD Pro adds is our newest body, built to take a rechargeable battery (6.5 hours per charge), a remote handset, and any future accessories we develop. If you do not need cordless, remote, or the modular body, the Original gives you the same light for less.
Who is the Essential for?
The HD Essential is for people who want full-spectrum daylight without any of the extras. It uses the same Daylight Wavelength Technology™ as the rest of the range, with a wide, even beam and simple press-and-hold dimming. There is no adjustable beam and no snooze timer. It is a straightforward, reliable light at the lowest price in the range, and it does its job well.
Will it help with sewing, puzzles, or close detail work?
Yes. The full-spectrum daylight makes colours sit truer and small detail easier to see, whether you are matching threads, working a crossword, or assembling something fiddly. The HD Original and HD Pro have an adjustable beam that narrows for fine detail or opens out for a full page.
What if I choose the wrong one?
Call us within your trial period and we will arrange a swap. You only pay the difference in price. We would rather you had the right light than any light. Call 0800 032 9366.
What if I do not get on with it at all?
That is what the home trial is for. You have 30 days with the Essential, or 90 days with the Original and Pro. If it is not right for you, call us and we will arrange collection from your door. Full refund, including delivery.
I have an eye condition. Will a Serious Light help me?
Our lights are not medical devices and cannot treat any eye condition. What they do is give your eyes the full-spectrum daylight they need to do less work. Many people living with AMD, cataracts, glaucoma or age-related vision change tell us that reading becomes easier again. Over 500 independent opticians recommend our lights to their patients. Is it easy to set up?
The HD Original and Essential arrive fully built. The Pro assembles in under 30 seconds with no tools. The arm slots into the base by hand, you plug it in, and you are reading.
